No, it's not a Star Wars reference. I know little about the movies. I couldn't explain the plots. I do not like that man Han Solo or what he chews (sorry).

It's far simpler — possibly dumber. I like doing things alone. I was looking for a simple way to refer to myself and that mantra. "Hassan" was a little on the nose — and shockingly far more prevalent over the last 40 years. So, a little simplification: cross out the "Has", carry the remainder, and voilà.

I used "San" as my artist name when I first published songs to the various music distribution channels. But no one got it, so ironically, it required "teamwork to make the dream work."

And so, "San Solo" was born. That's it and that's all.
